Myakka River State Park and The Deep Hole

It is about 5 mile walk round trip to the deep hole. Be sure to use sunscreen and wear comfortable shoes. Once you arrive, it is a beautiful setting and you will see alligators. Back years ago, visitors were allowed to get very close to the alligators and walk around the deep hole. These days visitors are restricted to one side of the hole and will only get to about 25 yards from the alligators. The first video below was taken years ago (2014) when we arrived by kayak and were able to get close to these amazing animals. The next four videos were made in 2008. The last video is from April of 2022 when we hiked in to the deep hole. I hope you enjoy the videos. Also see: http://ChooseSarasota.com
